Dr. Sean Chappin is a double board-certified psychiatrist in general adult psychiatry and addiction psychiatry with over 20 years of working experience in academic and community centers. Dr. Chappin received his undergraduate at Yale University, a medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and addiction fellowship degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Utilizing his vast knowledge in the field of psychiatry he has done teaching for medical students, residents, and fellows. Additionally, Dr.Chappin has extensive experience working in both the inpatient and outpatient psychiatry fields which has enabled him to develop a keen understanding of his patients' needs to provide the best treatment options.
Starting with a biopsychosocial evaluation, Dr. Chappin uses the art of medicine to create an individual care plan which has enabled him to provide his patients with a more fulfilling daily life.
Anita Lopes is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner across the lifespan, with an MSN in Pediatric Nursing and a BSN degree. She has over 22 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has worked in various domains of Nursing such as education, administration, and Nursing practice. Utilizing her vast experience, she has mentored students and nurses under her supervision.
Anita has experience working in both the inpatient and outpatient psychiatry settings, which has enabled her to develop a keen understanding of her patient's needs to provide the best treatment options.
She has directed her purpose of guiding her clients with compassion into the inner healing process. Under her care, the journey of your mental health begins with a biopsychosocial evaluation utilizing the art of psychiatric medicine practice to provide the patient with a customized individual health plan to enable you to live a promising authentic daily life.
Anita works with patients ages 18 and older.
As a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I aspire to provide support, insight, and guidance that respects and values your ethnicity, culture, identity, and beliefs. I will listen carefully and help you process your feelings, experiences, and thoughts. We will collaborate and co-create a safe space to define your needs and steps to reach your goals.
My experience includes working with marginalized groups, Veterans, healthcare practitioners, individuals with disabilities, and students of all ages. I’ve worked in various settings, from schools and community spaces to private practices.
I earned a Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University in NY and multiple certifications in trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. Depending on the client, I utilize various types of therapy, such as DBT, Trauma-Informed CBT, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Creative Arts, and Sand Tray Therapy. I have training on racial and trauma healing as well as Emotionally Healthy Spirituality/Relationships.
